October, 2025 --- Day 3
✨ Scottish Fantazy
🌦️ Day 3 — The Wrong Train to the Right Day
“Sometimes the wrong train takes you to the right sunset.”
A massive breakfast, a confident smile… and the wrong train.
Classic us.
But the journey turned cinematic: the sea widened as we crossed from
England to Scotland, Newcastle’s gothic spires waving us onward
through mist and legend.
And then — woooha! — Edinburgh arrived faster than our hearts could.
We dropped our bags at a downtown apartment — No.1 Apartments George IV Bridge , right above the famous Elephant House — storyland downstairs, our little nest upstairs. Before dinner, we climbed to Calton Hill where the drizzle turned gold. We took tons of photos — wind in our hair, city at our feet, the kind of pictures you keep for rainy mornings and anniversaries.
First adventure as a domestic duo: grocery shopping together — treasure-hunting at the 美麒麟 Asian market, then I snagged fresh veg from Sainsbury’s near the university. He headed back to cook (chef mode: on), and I followed with clinking bags and giggles in the cobbled dusk. Back home, our homemade hotpot bubbled like a love potion — spicy, steamy, gloriously chaotic.
Outside, Edinburgh whispered; inside, everything felt warm and right.
“One Day,” we said — but it already felt like forever. 🫶🌇🔥
